An upgrade to the Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book comes in the form of a new pen, seen here alongside the old Surface Pro 3 pen. For reference, the pens are cross compatible, so the Surface Pro 3 pen works on the Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Pro 4 pen will work on the Surface Pro 3.
